                                 Guam Delegation Explores Interesting Philippine Destinations and Immersed in Unforgettable Cultural Experiences                                          during the Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour 2024

02 August 2024, Guam - The Guam delegation had twenty-one (21) participants in this year’s Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour which was held from 21 to 30 July 2024 and featured five (5) Philippine destinations: Manila, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Bukidnon and Iligan City. The Guam delegation was led by Vice Consul Daniella Bianca M. Villamin-Oriondo.

The Guam delegation joined the over 220 Filipino-Americans and other nationalities from the U.S. mainland in this immersive 10-day Philippine tour. The VIP Tour 2024 offered a total experience, seamlessly blending city exploration, natural beauty, and cultural immersion.

Participants embarked on historical city tours, exploring Intramuros and Chinatown in Manila,  City Museum of Cagayan de Oro, The Ruins in Talisay City, Negros Occidental and visiting religious sites such as the Divine Mercy Shrine in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental and Abbey of the Transfiguration Monastery in Malabalay, Bukidnon. They also delved into the scenic wonders, such as the relaxing waters of Lakawon Island Resort in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental and majestic falls of Tinago and Mimbalot Falls in Iligan City.

This tour also marked the inaugural visit of the VIP Tour in Northern Mindanao, where participants engaged in rich cultural interactions with the tribes in Bukidnon and Iligan City.

The warm reception and hospitality of the Local Government Units in all of the cities visited provided exceptional local food and delicacies, as well as amazing performances that left a lasting and unforgettable experience for the participants which made them really feel like a VVIP. END
