NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC REGARDING EXTENSION OF PASSPORT VALIDITY:
The Consular Section no longer accepts applications for the sole purpose of extending the validity of Philippine passports that are about to expire. This is in compliance with the rules and regulations set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
In this regard, the Consulate General would like to remind our Kababayan of the following:
- Check your passport’s expiry date. If your passport will expire in one (1) year or less, renew it immediately;
- New passports may become available up to 45 days from the date of application. Please plan accordingly; and
Those who need to urgently travel to the Philippines may apply for a travel document (TD) which may be used for a one-way travel to the Philippines within one (1) month from the date of issuance.
